Rose-Inspired Couture
I'm paying a vibrant tribute to Dior, an iconic fashion house that has left a revolutionary mark on fashion history. Inspired by Dior's iconic credo, I've designed an outfit that exalts feminine beauty in all its majesty. My inspiration is rooted in the Belle Époque, renowned for its S-shaped silhouette. This design is in keeping with Dior's vision of "flower women", soft shoulders, generous busts, cinched waists, and corolla-like skirts.
The dress is divided into three parts. The first is an Edwardian-style blouse, with its high collar, voluminous bosom structured by tight pleats, and voluminous sleeves that add theatrical presence.

The midsection is carefully cinched at the waist, accentuating the hips, followed by a gored skirt.
For the shoes, I was inspired by colonial pumps, a heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries, to which I added a contemporary touch. I enriched these heels with a square pleated tongue on the top edge and a knife pleat ruffle adorning the pointed toe box. The heels, in matte leather, are accented with metallic silver fabric to sublimate the silhouette, catching the light at every angle.
As a finishing touch, I revisited the Ldy Dior bag. Made from glass for maximum light reflection, I fused Dior's Macro-cannage motif with an argyle pattern, enhancing the play of light through dispersion and refraction.
